Sprinkler Myths:

SMOKE WILL SET THEM OFF - No. Actual heat, usually 165 degrees farenheit or so, is required to activate sprinklers

SPRINKLERS GO OFF ACCIDENTALLY - No. Unless you think 1 in 16 million is a real chance. Those are the odds of an accidental discharge

WHEN ONE GOES OFF, THEY ALL WILL - No. Each head is individually activated, so only those in the fire area turn on

THEY CAUSE WATER DAMAGE - A little, but only a fraction of that caused by fire hoses or a fire itself
